Wright wins Goddard Award of Excellence in Firearms Identification

In early June, Forensic Technology was proud to once again present the Goddard Award for Excellence in firearms identification at the AFTE banquet in Chicago, Illinois.

In its 11th year, this award had the distinction of being presented by none other than Calvin Goddard Zon, grandson of the famed "father of ballistics identification". The 2011 winner was David C. Wright.

Forensic Technology wins HSBC International Business of the Year

Montreal, CANADA — Forensic Technology has won the inaugural HSBC International Business of the Year – Large Enterprise Award.

As part of the Business without Borders program, the HSBC International Business Awards honours Canadian companies that have successfully branched out beyond our borders. “The ability of Canada’s large enterprises to compete and succeed on a global scale is significant because it proves that we stand tall to the world’s best,” said Mark Watkinson, Senior Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking, North America, HSBC. “In particular, Forensic Technology has distinguished itself for its entrepreneurship and we salute their accomplishments.”

Goddard Award Nominations Open

Forensic Technology is proud to open the nomination period for the Calvin H. Goddard Award. Celebrating its 10th year, this annual contest recognizes excellence in the area of firearm identification. The prize consists of a scholarship to attend AFTE’s (Association of Firearm and Tool Mark Examiners) 2011 Training Seminar to be held in Chicago, Illinois, May 29-June 3, 2011.
