The International Association of Chiefs of Police held their annual conference last week as they have done each year since 1893. This year’s event was held in San Diego and thousands of law enforcement executives from around the world came together to continue the tradition by attending training sessions, networking with peers, and exploring the state-of-the-art Exhibit Hall.

Used to mean indisputable evidence, the term “smoking gun” is believed to have evolved from this excerpt of a Sherlock Holmes story:
