Technical Trainer

Job summary

Reporting to the Training Manager, the incumbent is responsible for delivering training on our proprietary systems to clients throughout the world.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Deliver training on our proprietary system in classrooms and/or at client site
  • Administer post-training testing to our clients to ensure that student learning has met course objective
  • Continue own training and development to ensure that the skill set remains update
  • Deliver training on proprietary system to internal customers, as require
  • May be required to participate in courseware and training tool conception.
  • Apply new technologies to deliver courses and improve the learning experience for users (distance learning, interactive ELearning, blended training).
  • Knows and uses the principles of learning adults.

Qualifications and experience

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related training/technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in adult training or similar role.
  • Bilingualism: English and French. Knowledge of the Spanish language is a major asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skil
  • Ability to work well with minimum supervisio
  • Ability to act as a coach.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the US and internationally.
  • Willingness to work irregular shifts and weekends when traveling, if necessary.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in forensic science and/or firearms.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Clearances.
